Jim Kemp: A Lifelong Gearhead
Jim's career with Roush began in 1995 when he joined as a young enthusiast fresh out of a trade school in Ohio. Over the years, Jim has become a vital part of the team, witnessing the evolution of car platforms and playing a critical role in expanding Roush’s aftermarket and performance offerings. “I started here in '95... I was always a gearhead,” Jim said in the You Don’t Know Jack podcast. From drag racing to supervising prototype mechanics, Jim’s passion for engines has driven his nearly 30-year journey at Roush. He eventually took over the role of overseeing crate engines after the previous leader retired, proving his versatility and dedication to the brand.
Ron Sharp: Racing at the Core
Ron Sharp joined Roush in 2007, diving headfirst into the world of drag racing, where he helped the team secure several championships. Over time, Ron expanded his focus to vintage road racing and off-road truck racing, which he has become particularly known for. “We won four out of five years that we drag raced,” Ron shared during the podcast. His journey at Roush is marked by adapting to new challenges, helping the brand dominate in off-road series such as the Champ Off-Road.
